This Week’s Travel Deals: Hawaii, Cruises, Disneyland & More
If you’ve been thinking about taking a vacation, there are quite a few offers out right now that are worth a look.
This week’s deals cover a little bit of everything — Hawaii, Tahiti, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood.
That doesn’t mean every deal is right for every traveler. A discount is only a good deal if it’s for a vacation you actually want to take.
So instead of just throwing six advertisements at you, here’s what’s available and who I think might want to take a closer look.
1. Save Up to $200 on a Hawaii Vacation
If Hawaii has been on your list, Pleasant Holidays currently has savings of up to $200 on qualifying Hawaii vacations at select hotels.
Book by: October 25, 2026
Travel by: June 30, 2027
The nice thing about Hawaii is that “a Hawaii vacation” can mean very different things depending on which island you choose.
Maui, Oahu, Kauai and Hawaii Island aren’t interchangeable. The right choice depends on whether you’re looking for beaches and resorts, sightseeing, outdoor adventures, nightlife, golf or some combination of everything.
That’s where I wouldn’t choose an island just because a particular hotel happens to be on sale.
I’d start with what you actually want from the vacation and then see whether the promotion works with the island and resort that fit you.
2. $200 Off a 5-Night Tahiti Vacation
Here’s one for somebody looking farther from home.
Pleasant Holidays is offering $200 off qualifying 5-night Tahiti vacations.
Book by: November 8, 2026
Travel by: June 30, 2027
Tahiti is one of those destinations that tends to show up on bucket lists — turquoise water, beautiful islands, Polynesian culture and, of course, those overwater bungalows everyone has seen pictures of.
It’s especially worth considering for a honeymoon, anniversary or a trip where you’re looking for something completely different from a typical Caribbean vacation.
But this is also a trip where I would look at the entire vacation cost, not just the $200 savings. Flights, the particular island or islands you visit, resort choice and transportation can make a big difference.
3. Celebrity Cruises — Savings for Couples, Families and Groups
Celebrity Cruises currently has several offers available on select sailings, including savings on the second guest and free cruise fares for additional guests on qualifying cruises.
The current promotion includes:
75% off the second guest with qualifying non-refundable deposit rates.
50% off the second guest with qualifying refundable deposit rates.
And on select sailings, additional guests may sail free, although taxes, fees and port expenses still apply.
Book by: November 5, 2026
Eligible sailings: Select sailings through May 10, 2029
This one can be especially interesting if you’re putting more than two people in a stateroom.
But cruise promotions can get confusing pretty quickly. “Free” doesn’t necessarily mean there is no cost for that traveler, and the final price depends on the sailing, stateroom, number of guests and rate you choose.
The number I care about is the actual total vacation price, not how big the promotional percentage looks.
4. Royal Caribbean — 60% Off the Second Guest, Kids Sail Free & More
Royal Caribbean has several promotions running through October 5, 2026, and this one could be worth checking if you’re planning a family cruise.
60% Off the Second Guest
Book an eligible cruise and the second guest in the same stateroom can receive 60% off the cruise fare.
The offer applies to qualifying sailings departing September 4, 2026 and later.
Kids Sail Free
On select cruises of three nights or longer, additional guests age 12 and younger can receive a $0 cruise fare when traveling with the first and second guests in the same stateroom.
Taxes, fees and port expenses still apply, and there are quite a few blackout dates — including certain holiday, spring break and summer sailings.
Free 3rd & 4th Guests
Royal Caribbean is also offering $0 cruise fares for third and fourth guests on select cruises of three nights or longer departing through August 20, 2027.
Again, taxes, fees and port expenses still apply and there are blackout dates.
Some of these promotions can apply together on qualifying sailings.
This is exactly the kind of cruise promotion where it’s worth pricing the trip instead of assuming the words “Kids Sail Free” automatically make one sailing cheaper than another.
Give me the number of travelers, ages of the kids, approximate dates and where you’d like to cruise, and I can look at the actual options.
5. Save Up to 20% at Disneyland Resort Hotels
Planning Disneyland this fall or during the holidays?
Disneyland Resort currently has an offer that can save guests up to 20% on select room types when staying three or more nights at participating Disneyland Resort hotels.
Stay dates: October 11 through December 18, 2026
Book by: December 15, 2026
The participating hotels include Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel, although the eligible room types and discounts vary.
This travel window also overlaps two very popular times to visit Disneyland — Halloween Time and the holiday season.
Just remember that this is a hotel discount. Theme park admission and park reservations are separate, and availability is limited.
If you’re already considering Disneyland during those dates, this is definitely one I’d check before booking a room at the regular rate.
6. Build a Universal Studios Hollywood + Los Angeles Vacation
This last one isn’t really a traditional “save X dollars” promotion.
And I actually like that.
Universal Studios Hollywood lets you build a vacation package around what you want to do instead of treating the entire trip as nothing but a theme park visit.
A sample package can include:
2 nights at a Universal Partner Hotel
1-Day General Admission to Universal Studios Hollywood
From there, you can customize the trip with hotels, additional experiences, transportation, flights and Los Angeles-area activities.
That means Universal Studios Hollywood could be one part of a larger Southern California vacation.
You could spend a day at Universal, see Hollywood and other parts of Los Angeles, visit the beach or add other sightseeing instead of flying all the way to California and seeing nothing outside the park.
Universal currently lists these customizable packages for travel through July 31, 2027.
For the right traveler, I think that’s a much better way to look at Universal Studios Hollywood — not necessarily as the entire vacation, but as one part of the vacation.
Which of These Deals Is Actually the Best One?
That’s the question I wouldn’t answer based on the biggest percentage.
Saving 60% on a second cruise fare sounds great.
So does a free cruise fare for the kids.
And $200 off Hawaii or Tahiti certainly doesn’t hurt.
But the best deal is the one that works for the vacation you actually want to take.
A cheaper resort on the wrong Hawaiian island isn’t a bargain. A cruise promotion doesn’t help if the qualifying sailing doesn’t work with your schedule. And saving money on a Disneyland hotel isn’t useful if Disneyland wasn’t where you wanted to go in the first place.
Start with the vacation. Then look for the deal.
That’s how I prefer to do it.
See Something You Want Me to Check?
If one of these caught your attention, send me a message.
You don’t have to know the exact hotel, cruise ship or travel dates yet. Tell me what you’re thinking about, who’s traveling and roughly when you’d like to go.
I’ll look at what’s actually available, see which promotions apply and help you compare the real vacation prices.
Because sometimes the advertised deal is the best option.
And sometimes there’s a better one.
